I grew up in Sweden surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes in the world, as well as cities with amazing architecture. My father was a painter and an architect, and I was raised to respect and appreciate the beauty around me. I came to Rhode Island as a young adult and was drawn to the enchanting coastlines, forests, and mountains in New England.
I use my art to capture all that I have experienced, and continue to experience, throughout my life journey. To me it is a privilege to be an artist, and I strive to use color, texture, and shadows to express my love of and enchantment with the natural world.
My work is on display at a local Swedish café in Providence, RI; Café Choklad. I also presented a solo art exhibit at the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton, Massachusetts in the spring of 2022. It was an honor to have my art hung and viewed in such a beautiful space. My work has been represented by Cade Tompkins and thirty paintings are on display at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. I am thrilled to be a new artist member of the Providence Art Club. I am looking forward to taking advantage of all that the art club has to offer its members.
Our new Mayor of Providence, Brett Smiley, recently commissioned a work from me to be hung in City Hall. I am thrilled to have my painting of Providence's WaterFire hung right outside of Mayor Smiley's office. What an honor!
I hope you enjoy browsing my website and seeing the world through my artistic lens. Feel free to contact me to share any thoughts or questions you have about my work. I love to connect with people over art.
